What the surveys say

UAE COD volumes once passed 65% of online orders. Later surveys show a split: a Google and Bain & Company survey reported 44% of UAE consumers preferring cash on delivery, and other studies found only half of consumers naming cash as preferred after the pandemic. Mobile ordering is high, but many shoppers hesitate to pay online for unfamiliar brands.

For a new store, COD removes that first hurdle; for a repeat buyer, cards are more convenient. Offer both if you can.

Marketplaces and couriers

Amazon.ae and Noon dominate marketplace shopping. Aramex is a major local courier with a wide COD service. Selling from your own store means you need your own trade licence; our UAE guide explains the steps.

Two languages, one audience

UAE buyers read English and Arabic. SymplysisAI can generate each from the same product: Emirati Arabic for the script and voice (using words like 'shu' and 'wayid'), and English for the page or ad copy. Run both and see which converts.

What SymplysisAI does not do here

SymplysisAI's built-in delivery integrations (28 companies) are Algerian carriers such as Yalidine, Ecotrack and ZR Express, so UAE orders are handled differently: book Aramex or your own courier and update the order status. Card payment is not in the store.

No Noon or Amazon.ae integration, and no public API.

Higher order values

A returned parcel costs shipping both ways whatever the basket size, so confirm every COD order by phone or WhatsApp before dispatch.
